Military Affiliated & Veteran Students (MAVS) is the recogonized student organization on campus dedicated to supporting and empowering military-affiliated students through community, resources, and engagement.
The group, which works to provide an all-inclusive environment for the student veteran community, got its start in 2006 as the Veterans Society of George Mason University.
The current leadership team includes:

- Vice President: Ashbury Lindsey-Hernandez
- Treasurer: Ken Blankenship
- Secretary: Leanne Saraceno
- Officer: Neile Keefe
MAVS is always looking to welcome new members! If you know someone who might be interested in the community we offer, tell them to reach out to us or visit the OMS. We would love to hear from new individuals interested in meeting others and supporting the community.
Members of MasonVets attend NatCon 2018. NatCon is the Student Veterans of America's annual conference, an annual gathering of student veterans, advocates, and supporters in higher education. Participants have the opportunity to learn from more than 2,000 of their peers.
